The Circle

I feel it necessary to briefly inform you about this art project “The Circle”
The Circle is an art project exhibition beginning on April 25th, 2009, in Sulaymaniyah (Kurdistan Iraq) to May 5th, 2009.

The idea, or theme, of The Circle is the relationship between location and movement.
Fifteen artists are participating in this project, and each day either one or two artist’s work are

showcased in Sulaymaniyah.
I am myself one of these fifteen artists.

Travelling from Iraq to Syria, and then continuing to Belarus and Germany to finish up in Sweden,

I have noticed some distinct differences between different locations.
One difference that I noticed was the movement of society in these locations and the harmony

of movement.

My work is done with lines, whereas the lines represent and symbolize the order and harmony

of movement in these societies. The work is done by creating, which represents movement

of society in the countries and then applying the lines to the geographical map of the country.
